Chronic fatigue

The brain requires a lot of energy and oxygen to carry out its complex work. It is estimated that the brain consumes 20-25% of all the oxygen available in the body. Oxygen deficiency is known to be one of the causes of chronic fatigue.

The brain is flooded with as much as 1 litre of blood per minute in order to meet its needs for oxygen, sugar and other substances.

What would be the result if the supply routes were subjected to permanent compression and thus severely restricted? The bottleneck caused by the misalignment of the Atlas can actually compress the main nerves and blood vessels that exit the skull and run through and around the Atlas.

If a nerve is compressed, nerve impulses are dispersed. The compression may be such that it triggers a short circuit of the electrical impulses in transit. Prolonged or permanent pressure on a nerve creates irritation.

If a nerve impulse does not have enough energy or does not reach its target at all, the brain is forced to make up for the lack by sending impulses with increased intensity.

In the course of a day, the brain sends millions of impulses, and if these are scattered, the amount of energy used becomes disproportionate to what is normally needed. The possible consequence of this condition is chronic fatigue.

On the one hand, the brain is subjected to stress that requires more work, and on the other, the supply of nutrients and oxygen is rationed because of the bottleneck. It's easy to see how these two things don't go together very well.

Added to this is the fact that during the day, a further portion of energy is wasted on keeping the muscles tense to compensate for the imbalance in the head caused by the dysfunctional Atlas. In this condition of permanent postural alteration, the body consumes much more energy than it should, even for the simplest activities, resistance is considerably reduced, unmotivated chronic fatigue and drowsiness sets in, leading to feelings of exhaustion and burnout.

After the Atlas correction, almost as a rule, people treated with the Atlantomed method experience an increase in their physical and mental energy. Many report that their breathing is improved (the diaphragm is in fact connected to the vagus nerve, which in turn is one of the nerves involved), that they need fewer hours of sleep to feel fit and that they benefit from an accelerated ability to recover. Chronic fatigue is wiped out and a feeling of lightness sets in. Head movement is much wider and freer, with a greater angle of rotation and flexion. Everything seems to work with less effort.

For the sake of completeness, we should not forget that chronic fatigue can also be caused by hormonal imbalances, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, especially iron deficiency (anaemia), poor diet and intestinal dysbiosis. If chronic fatigue does not resolve after correction of the Atlas, it is worth checking whether these deficiencies exist.

The simplest, most sensible and fastest way to deal with chronic fatigue and many other complaints is to first check the alignment of one's Atlas. This can be done free of charge in Atlantomed centres. If the response is negative or if the correction is inconclusive, there is always time for further investigations. The reverse route is often much longer and more expensive. This is why it is better to start with the most effective, fastest and broadest spectrum solution.
