AtlantoVib 2010 (patent pending): the Rolls-Royce amongst all Atlas correcting devices

ATLANTOtec® has developed the new AtlantoVib 2010 device to achieve what has not been possible to date: Correcting the Atlas's position while simultaneously loosening the entire body's musculature.

The AtlantoVib 2010 includes several exclusive innovations that put their predecessors and the devices used in other corrective methods in the shade.

What is resonance?

Resonance is a mechanical phenomenon that is well-known in physics. It is continuously amplified when a body begins to sway on its own as a certain vibration is applied to it.

Each fixed body practically has its own frequency to which it "reverberates" or resonates depending on its weight, shape and size.

A body can be brought into resonance only by applying a precisely-matching frequency to the body.

When in resonance the amplitude of the vibration is largest and thus the maximum transfer of energy is possible.

While the human body is not exactly a solid, each muscle responds better to a given frequency rather than another, thus achieving an effect similar to resonance.

Tests performed by ATLANTOtec® have enabled us to determine the correct resonance frequency that will invoke the best reaction in a muscle. Because muscles have different length, size, and muscle tone, we have been able to establish a full spectrum of different resonance frequencies.

Each muscle has its own resonance frequency.The AtlantoVib 2010 produces continuously different frequency cycles that the ATLANTOtec® operator will individually adjust for in each specific patient. This results in a quantum leap in effectiveness and in the speed with which the muscles can be relaxed.

What are the advantages of being treated with the AtlantoVib 2010?

AtlantoVib 2010 is particularly silent, much more than other Atlas correction devices! The result is a more comfortable, relaxing massage because the areas near the ears are also massaged.

A significantly higher degree of relaxation can be achieved by using the muscle's resonance instead of merely vibrating it. A much more satisfactory final result can be achieved with the same length of treatment.

This is a new insight about which you will find little external information.

The contractible unit of muscle tissue supporting the skeleton is called a sarcomere.

Long-lasting muscle contractions cause a type of hysteresis cycle* during the expansion of a muscle's sarcomere. Indeed, several of the muscles that support the body are shortened which causes poor body posture and, consequently, pain. Causes and consequences are explained elsewhere on this website.

*What is the "hysteresis cycle"?

Hysteresis is mainly known from the field of magnetism. To put it simply, it is a phenomenon in which the "way there" is not the same as the "way back."

In muscles this means that they will remain in a tension-at-rest position once they tense up and particularly when the tension extends over a longer period of time. This will trigger a "memory effect" through which the muscles will never return to their original position of relaxation but rather remain tense, hardened, and thus shorter.

The literature of anatomy generally speaks of hardened muscles and elevated muscle tone, but fails to describe the causes in detail. In particular, there is no known solution for the problem except to apply massages which have only temporary effects or muscle relaxants which have only limited effects and which, over the long term, can be damaging.

The resonance frequency created by the AtlantoVib 2010 allows the sarcomeres to vibrate to the point that this "memory-effect" is eliminated and the hysteresis cycle is overcome. This allows the muscles to return to their original position (that is, to their original condition of relaxation).

Basically it resets the musculature's tension-at-rest. This deep muscle relaxation allows the body's posture to return again to its ideal condition.

The speed at which relaxation is achieved is surprising and exceeds anything experienced or seen so far, as the AtlantoVib 2010's frequency corresponds exactly to the muscle's resonance frequency.

An additional advantage of the AtlantoVib 2010 is that it can reach even the deepest zones that other massage methods cannot reach. The vibrations are transmitted and penetrate through the entire body.

By continuously changing the frequency the AtlantoVib 2010 reaches all the muscles – the largest, the smallest, and even those with the greatest tension.

Not every massage is the same

The apparatus AtlantoVib 2010 is used in pairs, or 2 units simultaneously, thereby increasing considerably the effectiveness.

Similar Atlas correction methods make use of a single, fixed-frequency device.

This innovation provides significant advantages for treated individuals: It can effectively relieve even the most persistent tension that has formed over the years and which even traditional massage therapy cannot loosen up.

It is only when the muscles are effectively relaxed that the incorrect position of the first vertebra can be determined with some degree of certainty, thus making its new orientation and centering possible.

Important: The result of Atlas-palpation can be highly misleading if the neck musculature isn't loosened beforehand.

This explains why few manual therapists focus on the Atlas vertebra, even though it occupies a fundamentally important position: They simply lack the means and the knowledge to fully intervene in this area. They therefore prefer to avoid this area or only treat it superficially.

This is also the reason for the failures that arise when the Atlas is treated with other methods: The results leave much unaccomplished when the neck muscles harden too much and the therapist is unable to take suitable and effective countermeasures.
